Asphalt Plant Supervisor

  • Electrical / Mechanical Engineering diploma or degree
  • With minimum 5 years previous crushing supervisory experience
  • Developing effective relationships and effective communication with suppliers, customers and regulatory bodies
  • Sourcing, negotiating and ordering parts and supplies for fixed plant maintenance as required
  • Maintaining up-to-date records and dealing with a range of paperwork
  • Ensuring that company policy regarding health and safety, and the environment is implemented and maintained throughout the departments
  • Keeping up to date with relevant government legislation and industry developments
  • Recruiting and managing staff, including staff training and performance appraisals
  • Closely monitoring all operational areas to ensure that extraction, processing, haulage and production is carried out to the highest standard
  • Undertaking regular site and plant inspections and risk assessments in order to minimize risk of accidents and or injury
  • Inspecting the materials produced to ensure that a high quality of product is maintained
  • Assessing plant and equipment
  • Assessing production materials levels
